Resources & Tips

Change Shop:

Google Product Feed XML

Installation

Installation involves 3 stages:
  1. Install a Plugin to your online store
(this creates a data package that the Facebook 'App' can read quickly).
  2. Add the 'App' to your Facebook page
  3. Configure the App to grab the data from your website
Important! Both components must be installed for your product catalog to work correctly on your Facebook page. Installation of this contribution is done at your own risk. We would always recommend creating a BACKUP of your Shop database and any and all applicable files before proceeding.

Frequently Asked Questions

I want to change the App title from 'Online Shop'!

  1.  Go to your Facebook page, and click on 'Edit Info' (near the top of the page)
  2.  On the left-hand menu, select 'Apps'.
  3.  Click on 'Edit Settings' under 'eCommerce Browser'.

How do I create a Facebook 'Page?

You will need to have a Facebook 'Page' in order to use this App. Facebook 'Pages' differ from personal profiles, in that they are specifically designed for organisations or businesses. Please note, that this 'App' can only be installed to a Facebook 'Page'. It cannot be installed on a 'Group' or 'Profile'.

To create a Facebook 'Page', simply login to Facebook under your personal profile, go to the following link, and follow the directions onscreen:
http://www.facebook.com/pages/create.php
(You will automatically be set up as an administrator of the 'Page' that you create. This will be separate to your personal Facebook profile.)

What if I upgrade during the 30 day trial?

Your account will be automatically converted to the upgraded version, but the expiry will be extended to include the remainder of your trial period. You will still receive the full free period no matter when you upgrade. This way you don't need to risk waiting until an account is about to expire before you proceed with the upgrade.

How do I remove the 'powered by' logo?

Individual users can remove the banner, either automatically when signing up to be a Pro customer, or as a one-off fee when using a Standard account. You can upgrade from the free trial at any-time and you will still have the remainder of your free days at your new account level.

I don't want to sign up for Paypal?

You don't need to sign-up for a Paypal account if you choose one of the Yearly Pay-As-You-Go options in the account plans. When you click 'sign up' simply use the 'buy as a guest' link at the bottom of the first Paypal page. Unfortunately, the other plans are subscription-based and therefore you need a Paypal account to allow you to manage your subscription.

Are my payments secure?

All our payment and subscriptions are handled via Paypal and we never receive your card details. This all means you get the reassurance that you can cancel your subscription via our website or via Paypal at any time.

Refunds & Contracts

No need to worry; we don’t ask for long term commitments. After signing-up for the monthly subscription, you are free to cancel via our website or Paypal at any time and on the renewal date the account will be downgraded to our free ‘lite’ version.

Sorry, no partial refunds are given in the event you wish to cancel or downgrade your package, during your current period. If you choose to cancel, your account will remain activated until your paid-up period is finished (after-which it will be downgraded to our free ‘lite’ version).

Warning: When canceling via our website, please allow 5 working days for us to process your request. If there are less than 2 working days to your renewal date, we recommend that you cancel your subscription directly via your Paypal account to ensure that your cancellation is completed in time.

Auto-Upgrade:- What happens?

As your Facebook page becomes more popular and your “Likes” grow, you may need to upgrade to the next level package. Don’t worry; we will let you know the exciting news. When your renewal is due (i.e. Yearly or Monthly), you will be asked to upgrade.

E.g. If you bought a year’s subscription to Bronze and your Facebook page took off, meaning you would now be in the Gold tariff, there would be no need to worry! All of the functionality will still be available until your renewal date , when you will be asked to upgrade your account. In the event you decide you do not wish to upgrade, your account will move onto our free ‘Lite’ version when your paid-up period is finished.
